The Hamilton Professional Fire Fighters Association chartered with the International Association of Fire Fighters in 1929 becoming Local 288.  We represent nearly 500 men and women fire fighters working in our Suppression, Communication, Fire Prevention, Training and Mechanical Division. 

We answer in the area of 25,000 to 30,000 calls a year ranging from medical calls, burning complaints and assistance to major structural fires.
