The HPFFA Charity & Community Support team hopped into Waterdown on April 19 to help the Waterdown Easter Egg Hunt event organizers with their incredible community event. 2019 marked the third annual event for this group and the first time the HPFFA was invited to join. The Waterdown Easter Egg hunt was created by one resident who saw a need for an Easter event, accessible to all youth, of all abilities. In addition to this free community event, the organizers also use this opportunity to raise funds for McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation.
The HPFFA team was proud to support this event with activities including the kids firefighters obstacle course and puzzles. The team also did their best to help all of the other event volunteers with requesting donations for McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation. Even with some rainy weather, over 1500 residents attended and donated almost $5,000! Congratulations to the event organizers for an amazing community event and thank you for having us!
