Your HPFFA Sledge Hockey Team took on the Hamilton Sledgehammers in our annual charity game on May 23rd. Team HPFFA went down 5-0 early, but held the Sledgehammers to only one goal in the 2nd period thanks to an equipment change that helped goalie Tom Huberty hold it down in net. Ultimately, team HPFFA gave it every effort we had (including stealing an olympian from the Sledgehammers and throwing pucks into the net) but it wasn’t enough to claim our first victory against a strong Sledgehammers team.
Final Score: Sledgehammers 7-3 HPFFA
A big thank you to the Sledgehammers for having us out for another great game! The HPFFA Charity was happy to donate $1500 to their organization, which will help them purchase & maintain equipment, cover ice costs throughout the year, and so much more.
