On September 25, the HPFFA Charity provided support to The SPACE Youth Centre in downtown Hamilton with a donation of $2,000.
The SPACE Youth Centre, located at 24 Main Street West, is the only youth-led drop-in centre in the downtown Hamilton core for youth between the ages of 13-24. The SPACE, which stands for Sharing Power And Centering Experience, is a community hub that is created for and by a diverse group of young people who are invested in building inclusion, youth leadership, and change in the Hamilton community.
The SPACE believes that by sharing a space for programs, music, dance, empowerment, learning and unlearning, and caring for each other there is an opportunity to build more than just a physical centre but a healthy community where everyone is able to grow and exist as their best self. The SPACE community is invested in programming, resource support, and supporting mental wellness as a way to live into this vision.
The SPACE encourages youth of all identities to come, share and experience space with them!
