The Hamilton Professional Fire Fighter’s Association (HPFFA), Local 288 partnered with Canadian Blood Services over this past March Break and adopted the Hamilton blood donor clinic in Ancaster. The HPFFA committed to recruit new donors and fill appointments to help collect 100 donations over March Break at the clinic.
The HPFFA invited all members, family, friends and Hamilton residents to join the Challenge and make an appointment to donate blood. The results are in! While we didn’t reach 100 “HPFFA Challenge” donors, we did have 40 participants donate during. In addition, the clinic had a total of 206 donors for the 192 appointments throughout the week. What an incredible turn-out for Canadian Blood Services!
Everyone who registered their donation was entered into a draw for a $300 Lowes gift card. In addition, those individuals who connected on social media using #hamFFgiveblood also received extra ballots. And the winner of the gift card is….Megan Batchelor! Congratulations!
Thank you to all who took the time to donate. You may have just saved a life!
