In September of 2019, the Brothers and Sisters of the Hamilton Professional Fire Fighters Association – Local 288, were saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of Brother Brad Phillips.  Brad served with the Hamilton Fire Department for 28 years acting with courage and dedication, receiving the Medal of Ontario Fire Fighter Bravery. His commitment to the HPFFA  and Hamilton community proved lasting and made a difference for those who needed help.

Brad’s wife of 28 years, Antoinette, his daughter, Nicole (Peter Ruoho) and grandaughter Madelyn continued with Brad’s commitment to the community and helping those in need by requesting donations to the HPFFA Charity in lieu of flowers following his passing.  Funds raised from that request were donated to the Hamilton General Hosptial Burn Unit on March 13.  Attending the donation presentation were family and friends, who took the time to remember Brad and marvel at the impact he continues to have on all who knew him.  We remember you and miss you, Brother.
