EVENT: The Equestrian Association for the Disabled (TEAD) – Fence tear down
LOCATION: TEAD – 8360 Leeming Road, Mount Hope
HPFFA members needed to remove approximately 40 fence posts from one paddock and potentially begin digging new post holes.  Tractor and auger will be used.

HPFFA members needed to replace approximately 40 fence posts from one paddock and complete fence build.  Tractor and auger will be used.

EVENT: Climb 4 Cancer
DETAILS: The HPFFA has made a donation and is supporting the newly named CLIMB COVID CANADA campaign in support of Canada Food Banks.  Members can show support by climbing 1 stair, 100 times at their home, posting on social media and tagging Climb Covid Canada and the HPFFA.

EVENT: Cancer Assistance Program 6th Annual 5km Walk
DATE: May 23, 2020
DETAILS: The 5km walk has been changed to a virtual walk for participants.

EVENT: 2020 Miracle Plane Pull for McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation

EVENT: Threshold Bayfront Builders Challenge
Saturday, June 13, 2020 – Cancelled.

EVENT: YWCA Walk a Mile in Her Shoes
Tuesday, June 16, 2020
TIME: 10:30am-12noon
LOCATION: In front of City Hall – 71 Main Street West, Hamilton
DETAILS: HPFFA Members needed to participate in this walk around City Hall with thousands of other community members in high heels to raise funds and awareness aimed at ending violence against women and girls.  The HPFFA Charity makes a donation in support of this cause at this event.

EVENT: Sirens for Life Launch Event
Thursday, June 25, 2020 – Cancelled

A Platoon – July 7

D Platoon – July 14
TIME: The clinic opens at 8:00am on each of these respective days which are scheduled after shift for the respective platoons.
LOCATION: Canadian Blood Services Hamilton – 35 Stone Church Road, Ancaster
DETAILS: Every year, Canadian Blood Services hosts a friendly challenge across the country, between First Responders.  Hamilton Fire has won the last three years in Hamilton.  In addition, the HPFFA Charity hosts a Platoon Challenge. ‘C’ Shift has also won the past four years.
*If you are able to donate during your Platoon date above, please let Brad Norris know by June 1st.  (If you cannot make your Platoon date, you can sign up to donate any time in July or August) – please make sure to fill out the sign up sheet at the front desk though.  You can also donate in another municipality, but must let me know and inform that specific clinic that you are donating for HAMILTON FIRE for SIRENS for LIFE.
Family and friends are welcome to donate on your respective Platoon’s behalf anytime in July or August.


EVENT: Essential Aid Bingo Fundraiser
DATE: Saturday, August 29, 2020 – NEW DATE
TIME: 5:30pm start
LOCATION: St. Nicholas Hall – 260 Melvin Avenue, Hamilton
HPFFA members to help with calling numbers (2), door entry (2), verifying winners (4), selling 50/50 (2) and help with set up and take down

EVENT: Around the Bay Road Race
DATE: Sunday, November 22, 2020 – NEW DATE
TIME: 30km – 9:30am / 5km – 9:45am
DETAILS: HPFFA members (and family) interested in participating in this event as a member of the HPFFA team, please contact Brad Norris for the registration link and team codes for respective race.  Please indicate which race you want to participate in.  Registration fees are covered by the Charity.  Wearing bunker gear is encouraged.  Please wear charity t-shirt.  A team photo and race action shots are requested the day of the race.
*The last day for registration is March 15, 2020, however, please note that these races sell out quickly.  Contact Brad to register soon.  (The relay race part of Around the Bay is already sold out).
